Finally the last of the Barcelona photos!
Like I've said before, we usually explore new places by walking as much as we can. It's not an easy thing to do, especially now with two small children in tow, but we manage and it's well worth it. Even during nap time, one of us would take the hour or so and go out by ourselves. Obviously mine was more shopping related than Scott's wanderings, but it was fun to come back and have an idea of where to go for dinner or what to do in the morning.
I'm glad we went during the fall because if it was any warmer then it was, Zac and I would not have had a fun time. Even if it's freezing cold and his jacket is unzipped, he still sweats a ton when I wear him. We may have missed a lot of things by not going during the summer season, but to be honest, we're not really excited about crowds and going during the slow season I think we got to see more of the local life.
Anyway, here's the rest of the photos. They're pretty random but I guess that's what happens when you just wander around and take pictures. Enjoy!

△Just behind Scott across the street there's a Starbucks, right next to where we stayed.△
△The city center.△
△We traveled right after the attacks in Paris, so there were signs of support for the country and the victims in the city center. There were also a lot of street patrols and heavily armed police officers but everything was running as normal so you knew they were there just in case, but it didn't ruin the experience of visiting the city and the landmarks.△
△We walked by this playground in the middle of a busy street on our way to Park Guell. So naturally on the way back we had to stop and play for a while.△
△La Manual Alpargatera, on the left, is the best place to buy handmade espadrilles. Not only are they super cheap (I got a couple pairs for 10euros each) and comfy but here's a random fact: Salvador Dali visited this shop annually to restock on his shoes. How cool is that?!? However, if you visit during their high season, you have to ask for a number and wait to be called because it's so busy. △
△City hall.△
△We wandered around the Gothic Quarter and found this little church tucked away in some random square.△
△Roman ruins that the church was built on top of.△
△The Cathedral La Seu that dates back to the 11th century.△
△Outside of the Picasso museum.△
△At one point Max had to pee on our walk to the beach and this was the statue that he wanted to pee on...△
△King Maximilian.△
△Left photo: Max making sand angels.△
△When you think that your husband is taking a poorly focused family photo…△
△and then you realize that he's actually trying to take a pic of the fight happening behind you.△
△Arch Triomf… of course.△
△Left photo: My sangria vs. Scott's teeny tiny beer and the grumpy face in the middle; he was impatiently waiting for the playground.△
The final photo, and probably the best advice ever given…
△The place settings at the Mexican restaurant we ate at.△
