Snow Days: part two

20150128

These photos were taken on a sunny morning after a few days of non-stop snowing.  Scott had to check on a camera* that he had placed in the woods (you know, to see what local wildlife were hanging around his family's property because why not?), so it was the perfect excuse to get out of the house and go exploring.  It's great to see Max enjoying the outdoors as much as his father.  Like I said before, I hate the winter, but I love watching Max and his father "discovering" things (like bugs (yuck) or in this case the woods).  Also, fresh snow in the sun.  The stuff is so pretty and glittery (if that's even a word) it looks almost fake.  So the photographer in me had to go outside just to take some photos of a winter wonderland before it melted back into that mud and ice shit that always happens after a storm.

*in case anyone was curious, besides catching some images of cats, birds and the random neighborhood dog, scott managed to attract a couple of healthy looking fishers to the camera trap.  i guess it's safe to say that scott still has the magic, fisher attracting touch.  anyway, it was the perfect early birthday present/ send off from new york before we went back to germany.
