The East Side Gallery is a must see if you're ever in Berlin. The wall itself is starting to crumble and erode, and while most of the famous artwork was redone in the 90s, some of the artists refused to restore their work after the renovation destroyed the originals. Now, crude graffiti cover the historical works that I remember seeing in books when I was a kid. It's sad and like I said, if you're ever in Berlin, go now before the wall is completely destroyed.
Anyway, on our way there, we ended up finding some random local flea market. While window shopping, we walked by a food stand just in time to watch a young man collect a box full of used oranges. It was an odd request, but we forgot about it until we finished viewing the East Side Gallery and spotted what looked like a protest on the bridge ahead.
Upon closer inspection, we found out that it was NOT a protest but a very large food fight. Naturally we had to get a little closer and on the way spotted (surprise, surprise) ORANGES. Anyway, these are the last of the Berlin photos. PHEW!
