Flashback Friday

{FUN IN THE SUN}

This Flashback Friday post is all about blue skies and sunshine.  After yesterday's post, I needed a little reminder of what nice weather looked like so I dug up some 2008 - 2010 photos that were taken with my very first SLR camera.  I was new to the game, so it was fun to play around and learn about f-stops, shutter speeds, aperture settings and other random things that come with the territory.  So most of these pictures are just me, in my element, teaching myself all that I could without another photographer's help.

These  photographs are from when we lived in Albany.  I guess I'm feeling a little nostalgic since we're heading home in less then two weeks.  Home won't look like these pictures.  In fact, I'm guessing that it'll snow while we're there since I'm wishing for warmish weather.   However, I'll take the cold and the snow in April if that means I can eat Mexican, shop at a very large mall, and go to Dunkin' Donuts at least once a day for some very crappy coffee.  There isn't a word to describe the kind of excitement that I feel about being 100% Amerikanisch for a month.  The only downside is that people will understand me.  So no more badmouthing the guy who cuts in front of me in the grocery line.

Anyway, these photos are completely random.  I thought it would be a fun way to end another cold and snowy week.  So have a wonderful week-end and a shout out to all those celebrating St. Patrick's Day tonight (or tomorrow or most definitely the day after that).  Be safe and have a Guinness and a shot of Jameson for me!!!
