Hello World!

20111014

So for two weeks, I have been M.I.A from the world wide web.  Why?  Well, in two weeks time, we've gotten our visas to stay in Germany for a while longer, we've relocated to a new apartment in the next village over and WE HAVE NO INTERNET!  None.  Cut off from civilization.  What did people do with their time before?  I'm just going stir crazy because I can't check my Facebook every five minutes, look at the ever important Perezhilton.com (yes, I read that crap so what?) for the latest news on celebrity gossip, and just randomly surf for nothing to kill time.  Now all I do is sit around learning German and watching German t.v.  By the time we get Internet, I swear I will be so perfectly fluent in Deutsch, it won't even be funny.

Anyway, moving on to more important things like our new apartment.  I still haven't gotten any pictures of the inside, but I have taken photos around the the neighborhood.  Luckily for us, we're in an amazing location where there are trails on one side with views of the Alps, and trails on the other side that lead to the Institute making it a quick ten minute bike ride for Scott.  Plus, the train station is just a five minute walk, there's a grocery store at the end of the street, the bus stop is literally just around the corner and we have the most amazing bakery around.  It's so amazing that it's even open on a Sunday when everything else is closed.

Well, I guess that's all for now.  Hopefully we'll be connected to the real world by next week and I can start updating my posts more quickly.  Until then....
