About a week ago, a bunch of institute scientists (and myself) went on a group trip to one of the local dormant volcano "mountains" to do a little rock climbing. Not being a huge fan of heights, I didn't participate in any actual climbing, but I did have the pleasure of photographing the day's activities and the brave first-timers who were willing to give it a try.
While it looked like a lot of fun for those who climbed, I can still say, without a doubt, that I'd much rather stand on solid ground and just observe. Maybe next time if I'm wearing a protective bodysuit made out of giant sized marshmellows to cushion my fall... Maybe, but most likely not.
