So here's some photos of our new temporary crib. I've had them sitting on my desktop for the last few weeks just begging to be posted, but unfortunately I wasn't in any rush. It's summer, which means things get put on hold. Especially when the sun is out, it's warm, and all I can think about is taking the little guy down to the lake to practice his walking technique.
Then came the rain.
It's been dry as a bone around here. We haven't had a single drop for almost a month and it seems like yesterday mother nature decided that enough was enough and it poured. It rained like we had a quota to fill for the month of July and Monday was the only day that was free to do so. So after a morning of running errands and getting soaked, I sat my ass down and made myself get it over with already.
So here they are. These are not the best photos I've ever taken. Apparently when I'm at home, the last thing I think about is taking pictures to post on the blog. I'm more worried about making sure Max doesn't bonk his head too many times, doing another load of laundry, working on the pile of dirty dishes that I alone somehow manage make, and other kind of haus frau-ish things. So needless to say these were kind of rushed. Oops.
Anyway, these pics are of the outside of the house. It's on the Mettnau which is a little town just outside the main part of Radolfzell. Here's a fun fact for the day (like you care): we live a block away from the hospital where I had Max. It's a good thing he can't talk since every time we pass it I say something like: "look, Maximilian, that's where you were born." Every freaking time. Poor guy.
So without further ado...
